Iridology (eye analysis, iris diagnosis) is a diagnostic system based on the principle of every bodily organ, system and structure being represented by a corresponding location on the iris (the colored portion of the eye surrounding the pupil). Accordingly, the iris serves as a map of the body and gives signs of physical, mental, and spiritual health.

The iris of every person shows patterns and structures that can be ‘read’ by a trained iridologist and can give insight into a person’s body constitution (with its strengths and weaknesses), general and specific health levels and transitions that are taking place in a person’s body.

Generally iridology is not used as a ‘stand alone’ diagnosis, but a mobile naturopath will use it in combination with other diagnostic tools.
